The Miss Huntington
Scholarship Program is an official preliminary in the Miss Indiana and Miss America
Scholarship Programs. The local program is sponsored by the Huntington Optimist
Club.

- This year's Miss Huntington scholarship pageant was:
- Sunday, October 11, 2009 - 2:00 p.m.

- Scholarships:
- In last year's program, $6,700 in educational scholarships were awarded to the
candidates with Miss Huntington receiving a $1,750 scholarship.

- Qualifications to enter 2010 pageant:
- All single female candidates must be at least 17 years old and a high
school graduate by July, 2009, and not older than 24 years as of December
31, 2010.

- Candidates must be residents of, or employed in Huntington County.
Huntington College students and Manchester College students are applicable. Residents of surrounding counties
may be eligible if a local Miss America preliminary program is not available in that
county.

- Phases of competition:
- 25% - Interview (includes personal platform on a social/civic cause or concern)
- 35% - Talent
- 15% - Swimsuit
- 20% - Evening Wear
- 5% - On-Stage Questions
