Scholarship Program
The Miss Huntington Scholarship Program is an official preliminary in the Miss Indiana and Miss America Scholarship Programs.  The local program is sponsored by the Huntington Optimist Club.

Scholarships:
In last year's program, $6,700 in educational scholarships were awarded to the candidates with Miss Huntington receiving a $1,750 scholarship.
 
Qualifications to enter 2010 pageant:
All single female candidates must be at least 17 years old and a high school graduate by July, 2009, and not older than 24 years as of December 31, 2010. 
 
Candidates must be residents of, or employed in Huntington County.   Huntington College students and Manchester College students are applicable.  Residents of surrounding counties may be eligible if a local Miss America preliminary program is not available in that county.
 
Phases of competition:
25% - Interview (includes personal platform on a social/civic cause or concern)
35% - Talent
15% - Swimsuit
20% - Evening Wear
5% - On-Stage Questions
